Few parents realize it, but it is a fact that a child spends more time in Camp Monroe during the summer than at school during the entire 9 months of the school year.

Accommodations |
| Inside every bunk at Camp Monroe are windows that open and close, with screens on all windows. There are two toilets, sinks and showers with sufficient hot and cold water. Electrical outlets are in all bunks and all living areas have smoke detectors. |

Health Services |
| The Camp Monroe Health Center is a large, well-constructed building containing two examining rooms, a waiting room, eleven private and semiprivate patient rooms, and a dispensary carrying most commonly used medicines and first aid supplies.
